Join like-minded others for a weekend of learning how to play bridge. Dom Rayner will introduce you to this fascinating game of cards, enthusiastically guiding you step by step to ensure that you enjoy the experience and get a good understanding of how to play.
Enjoy the weekend, take time to meet new people and relax in pleasant surroundings, and in the friendly ambience of the Charlecote Pheasant Hotel. Saturday afternoon is free for you to enjoy a stroll through Charlecote Park, where the deer roam on the banks of the river Avon. Or take a short journey into the medieval market town of Stratford-upon-Avon and follow in the footsteps of William Shakespeare and Anne Hathaway.
By the end of your weekend, you will return home eager to practice your new skills, and ready to learn more new tricks and techniques!

Partners who do not wish to play bridge but would like to join are welcome. You will be able to enjoy the lovely countryside and scenic walks surrounding the hotel, whilst taking advantage of its proximity to Stratford-upon-Avon. There is a £50 reduction for non-playing partners that share a room with a bridge participant.

Your Bridge Programme
Learn to play bridge with our fantastic collection of Beginners’ Bridge Breaks. Dom Rayner will introduce you to bridge, learning the basics of how to play minibridge and how to score as a declarer or a defender. He will enthusiastically guide you step by step to ensure you not only enjoy the experience, but that you get a good understanding of how to play this fascinating game of cards. By the end of your break, you will return home eager to practice your new skills, tricks and techniques!
Bridge Sessions
2pm – 4:30pm – An introduction to minibridge, learning the basics.
7:30pm – 10pm – Counting to 13! We learn how to take more tricks, seeing how easy it is with the powerful ability of counting up to 13.
Rooms will be available for check-in from 4:30pm.
Join us for a welcome drink and dinner this evening.
Enjoy breakfast this morning.
Bridge Sessions
10am – 12:30pm – Today we learn how points are scored as a declarer or a defender. This is the key to being the best!
7:30pm – 10pm – Learn the important art of being a defender and how to stop the opponents from scoring points. By the end, you will know the key techniques to use.
Today, your afternoon at leisure. You can relax and enjoy the beautiful countryside surrounding your hotel. Stroll along the banks of the river Avon, spot the deer in the National Trust Charlecote Park, situated directly opposite your hotel, or take a drive into historic Stratford-upon-Avon.
We enjoy dinner this evening.
After breakfast, check out of your room.

10am – 12:30pm – The finesse is a clever way to play your cards as a declarer to make extra tricks by trapping your opponents.
Depart the hotel at leisure for your journey home.
